Welcome to The Sinful Slice. What started out with a love of baking and a hungry family has morphed into a commercial kitchen in my basement and a full time job! Unfortunately this can mean my family can still be hungry..lol..I can bake all day and by the end I realize I forgot to set aside bread for us!! 🙄oh well..always tomorrow..
I want The Sinful Slice to be the local upper mission go to for delicious home baked sourdough bread (and cheesecakes 😋) I have no dreams of expanding to feed the whole of the Okanagan..I don’t want to lose what I feel makes this bread so great! The small batches of authentic sourdough made with organic stone ground flour into the many different flavours I love to make! It is a 24hr process from start to finish, truly a labour of love! No matter how many loaves I have made..every time I pull that lid of a loaf for the final bake and see that perfect loaf, it always feels like a little bit of magic!Â
So now here I am starting up my web site!! I am hoping it is a good place to organize all of the things that I will be offering! Â
Such an exciting time! It’s going to be fun to see where this goes!! Thank you to everyone who has supported me by making The Sinful Slice a part of their weekly menu! I am beyond flattered by this honour!  I hope to be apart of your daily tradition for a long time!!Â
A big thank you to Emmy from Mike’s Orchard who encouraged me to bring some bread in early on for her to sell at the Orchard. Those successful sales and the loyal customer base that came coming back looking for more really helped to catapult this into what it is today!
